Let's face it, when McQuitter got mounted he was done and he wasn't gonna offer any more resistance, and Nate could have pounded on his head until he went limp, but instead he gave him the easy way out. Do you think he felt bad for Cloner? Did he give him mercy out of appreciation for the big money fight? Or was it just instinct kicking in at the moment?
There was plenty of time left in the round, and I'd say Nate was no more than 4-5 punches away from getting the TKO stoppage, or even knocking him unconscious from that position. After all the shit talk, in his position I probably would have opted to pound on him until he's lifeless.
