Let's face it, when McQuitter got mounted he was done and he wasn't gonna offer any more resistance, and Nate could have pounded on his head until he went limp, but instead he gave him the easy way out. Do you think he felt bad for Cloner? Did he give him mercy out of appreciation for the big money fight? Or was it just instinct kicking in at the moment?

There was plenty of time left in the round, and I'd say Nate was no more than 4-5 punches away from getting the TKO stoppage, or even knocking him unconscious from that position. After all the shit talk, in his position I probably would have opted to pound on him until he's lifeless.

Nate did right. Herb was reffing the fight and Conor offered his neck. Good call.

he punched his face into a choke... i dont think it was mercy loll
I dont think Nate had any bad blood at the end of the day but Connor is far from a sympathetic figure.

I agree, he was too forgiving and MERCIFUL. With all the talkshit and the punch to the hand at the weight in... I would've chopped his head off.

"Wake up Conor, it's all over now."

Yep, he could have landed another half dozen blows to his ears, or looping under his face, had he wanted to really smash him. He sealed that choke up quick.

Nate really did show some mercy there.

I like the name but I don't think he was consciously thinking of that, just going for the finish.

Same with Cowboy against Barboza. When you punch someone into a submission position how can you not let your instincts take over.

Conor: "I'm humble in victory and defeat" . Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Humble in victory, lol. Glad he got shut up about all the money, money, money talk.

He took his lumps like a man I'll give him that. And he wasnt a total sack of dicks after the Aldo fight. Said something like "long reigning champ, deserves better than 13 seconds" or someshit like that iirc. But yea, connor and humble shouldnt be in the same sentence. "im humble in defeat, i just have a ton of excuses" lol

Just wait as soon as the fight is signed it'll be back to the same ol. He'll resort back to the money talk because he'll really be grasping at straws to talk shit other than the "i dominated the first round" bullshit he'll spew lol. Dont get your hopes up yet brotha.
