McGregor was almost certainly going to fight Lawler next at UFC 200 and I think Nate has earned that slot now. If he doesn't get Lawler, I think he should get dos Anjos because McGregor was also supposed to fight dos Anjos lol.

One way or another Nate's in the conversation in my opinion. How about in yours?

Nah. He should kick back with his millions till a weird fight like this shows itself to him. RDA will take all his momentum away and he doesnt care about the title.

I really hoped mcgregor losing would be the end of all those joke match ups. why on earth would nate deserve a shot at lawler? this win shouldn't even leapfrog him over all the other lightweight contenders imo

So to get a shot at the 155 title you need a fight at 170 vs the 145 champ?

you don't understand. Nate has the McGregor belt now. It's champion vs champion. If Lawler beats Nate, he'll be the first to hold two belts at the same time in the UFC, he'll shock the world.

I think so. He just derailed the biggest hype job in the UFC in good fashion - if he wants it he should get it

I dunno he has been soundly dominated by elite gameplan type fighters in RDA and Benson.

The Conor fight suited him because he came to trade.

He cant deal with them leg kicks.

Sorry, but this:

What?!? How does Nate deserve a fight against Lawler over guys like Woodley, Wonderboy, potentially GSP, because he beat McGregor? How does this make sense to you?

Hell even the RDA fight doesnt make a whole lot of sense considering theres the winner of Khabib/Ferguson and Alvarez.

So the guy that Diaz beat on ten days notice deserved those two title shots... But Nate doesn't.

Interesting logic.

Actually, now is the right time for a Nate Diaz-Cerrone rematch.

Nate should be given the opportunity to whop Connie's ass at 155 as well.

No.
He is not at 170lbs fighter.
No title shot at 155 Either.
That being said you could do a lot of good high profile fight for him! Alvarez should be next. Pettis or Sanchez would also be awesome!

I don't think he will get a TS. What I think will happen is he will fight someone with good wrestling next to stop any momentum he has.

LAWLER?!? Why erase what you could build on.

Nate could and should grow his profile exponentially from here.

But that would require promotion on his part. So more than likely instead, Nate will go back to telling interviewers to "fuck off" and go back to making what he was making, and being a underachieving super talented fighter.

McGregor has shown Nate and the rest of the roster what can be achieved, but misplaced pride and this archaic tough guy bullshit will prevent any of them from getting that money that they want so bad.

All that happened this weekend was Conor hampered is future renegotiating ability and Diaz got a taste of what decent money feels like, which, if we're being honest will never happen for him again, unless he rematches Conor, that is if Conor can rebound and regain some momentum.

From Dana's perspective I think he'll be released as soon as he lose to someone.
Let's give him the worst possible match that's not a championship bout.

From the audience perspective TS is right.

Nate wont get a title shot yet...it was a good win for him tho...
I hope he fights Cerrone next

not keen on seeing him against Lawler
anyone at 155 including the champ would be fine

Pettis or Alvarez or RDA

Diaz is a LW, they only fought at WW because he didn't have time to make the weight cut. He's tried WW before and it was a failed experiment.

last time he fought RDA he got absolutely mauled i don't see it being much different this time
