That works at FW, where guys hit like girls. At LW and WW that is a dumb strategy.

Conor is a great FW champ. Hope he can get past Frankie and Aldo a second time, and stay on top in his division.

FW division has a good finishing rate. The chin thing was just an attribute of Conor that got over hyped as indomitable.

We can't judge how well FW cracked Conor, though we saw him get hit and freeze up a little cautiously from few shots there. It's hard for shorter guys than Conor to reach into the chin and catch it while it's leaning in. Nate threw his more powerful left as Conor was leaning into it, straight on the chin, but hell, even then Conor didn't dance around the cage all shaky like other fighters would.

I am a huge Diaz fan, but this is kind of an odd argument to make. The Diaz bros have a tone of skill, but their chins are easily their best attributes. Their boxing and BJJ is obviously legit, cardio is off the chain, but the way they fight, intimidating and wearing out their opponents by being able to take insane amounts of damage is definitely a huge part of their game, which makes them fucking awesomely fun to watch.
