Hard to go back to making 60k a fight when you just made a few mil. Especially when you finished the UFC's biggest star and barely lost a close majority decision in the rematch in a fight where he out landed him and had Mcgregor running away the second half of the fight. In the long run, Diaz might be right to sit out. If Mcgregor really does want to finish the trilogy, and Diaz pulls off the win, he'll look like a genius for waiting out.
How did Nick mismanage his whole career? He built his brand outside of the UFC, became a star, and came back to the UFC making 6 figure paychecks. How many other fighters can say that?Nick mismanaged his career and now Nate is doing it. At least Nate has money to show for it. I bet Nick is spending all lil bro's dough.
Pissed away some of his prime fighting and earning years refusing to take any fights if they weren't for the title when he hasn't had a win since bj who boxed him up the first round. I bet he could have been getting 200-400k purses. At one point he was demanding 10m dollar purses. How did Nick mismanage his whole career? Diaz bro's are smarter than ya'll think.
He may be 90% sure he'll win.. but thats still taking a 10% chance that you lose a 10 million+ dollar payday. Conor has mentioned wanting to do the trilogy with nate so might as well wait it out.Hence why he's not accepting any other fight than the money fight
nate is a draw but there has to be an equal draw on the other side.
