The UFC obviously thought Connor's best chance at winning @170 was against Diaz. I do not feel that Connor and RDA were ever on a collision course, too much at stake and too risky, and all parties involved new it. I also am not buying the 10 day before fight injury, seen that angle worked too many times, keeps interest in fight for months, then the ol switcheroo at the last second.
Now, had Connor beaten Nate, the UFC's dream would have come true. GSP vs McG @ 200. Was a win win for UFC and McG. If he wins he just beat GSP (Notice Im not using Goat term). IF he loses, who else would you want to lose to than GSP, Connor can still work invincible angle. Either way, war Nate, and cant wait for the rematch. I hope McG can do it, but definitely rooting for Nate 75%/25%?

The UFC is definitely pretending it has a time machine and running around to undo what happened in Conor's last fight.

Conor can never reverse the invincible angle, because he got slapped 4 times, then became the wrestler he makes fun of, and gets choked super fast. He was anti-invincible in that fight.

Nate the Great would be a cool nickname. Catchy

It's great if you are Nate Diaz, one of his boys or a McGregor hater. Everyone else, not so much.

I have no ill will towards Conor but it is kinda cool to see the UFC's plan kinda backfire (they'll be fine, this wont destroy their business).

I just like seeing the "underdog" rise and shake up the world I guess.

Nate should watch out for crowbars, because I could picture Dana hiring someone to hit him in the knee caps in a run by attack.

So you think the pictures of RDA's messed up foot and the pictures in the weeks after the fight are all fake? Cmon brah.

Conor's camp chose Nate cause they thought it was the easiest fight to win. MMA Analyst gave Nate 0% chance to win that fight, which was not a crazy assessment at all seeing that he didn't have a training camp (i mean, look at his body at the weigh ins!)

& then Nate proved everyone wrong and BROKE McGregor! that was one of the Best, if Not the BEST moment in MMA History!

i was actually rooting for Nate to Win but was not very confident that he would pull out the win with no training at all.

Glad he shut up every McGoat lover. goes to show that you should never underestimate a True Warrior.

Maybe I'm in the minority then. As if Conor had won a CMG - GSP mega fight would of been pretty fucking cool.

It all blew up in their faces so I was like L.O.L motherfuckers!

- Nate Diaz

He can't afford to be innocent.

Stand up and face the enemy.

I love it when a plan never comes together. It's always more exciting

The only thing I truly hate about Connor is that he is allowed to call his own fights. THAT is how boxing died and how the public has been robbed of so many great boxing matches. Dana needs to man the fuck up and tell the fighters who they fight and keep it as the best matches are made. Fighters should not have a choice who they fight.
