Nate Diaz's coach talks McGregor fight

Great interview. Sub radio is usually on point and gets pretty good interviews.

Cliffs:

Perez was quizzed on, and agreed with everything Nate said at the presser.
Says McGregor was the one that wouldn't do it at 155, not Nate.
Says its fishy that McGregor went up so much in weight, must be on something.
Says he thinks it will go the distance.
Says McGregor is a pretty good striker but Nate is better and will win it on the feet.
Says Nate is not worried about popping for weed.
Says he is still not training Nick due to pay issue from GSP fight.
Says his gym is packed, needs a bigger place, has some good amateur talent.
Says Nate is in great shape and weighs 170-171 atm.

Could be on roids, but we'll never know at this point, that's the UFC cashcow.

Zero evidence of Conor being on roids. Him getting bigger in this new age of USADA, while other supposed cheaters are losing muscle is just evidence that he's clean and has nothing to hide

how can Conor be on steroids ? didn't USADA test him million times and he was clean ?

This guy with his steroid accusations just sounds like a complete fool. Diaz and his coach don't have the intelligence to beat McGregor.

McGregor by left uppercut KO in the 1st.

Extra extra!

Coach thinks his fighter will win upcoming fight!

Perez thinks that the reason Conor said they should fight at 170 and not 155 is because he couldn't make the weight himself. Now that is one strange theory.

Diaz bros never seem to make sense so you can't expect less from their daddy

Just trying to wind McGregor up, get him distracted. Funny how he thought nate could make 155 when he is currently sitting at over 170 but conor couldn't.

First it's, "We will beat this guy!"

Then, after the KO, it will be, "Hey, we only had a 10 day camp! Give us a full camp and we will beat this guy!"

Just ask Chad Mendes.

Thanks for posting this. There's so many mma sites out there it would take me all night to navigate them on this iPad. I rely on the forums here for the latest news.

Great interviewers. They ask great questions.

Not a Conor fan, but him putting on muscle isn't fishy. It's probably muscle memory, he's putting back on muscle mass he once had on frame that he probably lost due to fighting at featherweight.

Would anyone be overly surprised if Conor gets busted for roids at some point in his career?

Anyone?

That Coach is saying weird stuff as it pertains to weight cutting.

He says that fighters should only be 5 pounds over the limit 2 weeks out?

Honestly it wouldnt surprise if the Diaz bros knew literally nothing about MMA weight cutting judging by how clueless their coach seems to be...

It only takes a few days to clean your system out.

I wouldn't be surprised about anyone being on steroids.

Well its a fact Nate mentioned it at the presser and Conor agreed with exactly what Nate said, along with Dana White..

He is not putting on much muscle. Most of it is just fat and water. He is considerably less lean abd defined than before.

Or has enough money and connections to get the best drugs and warnings so he doesn't test dirty?

Great. Now the 5% chance I thought Diaz had just went out the window.

Diaz's high volume low power style on 1/3rd of his usual gas tank will make for a short night for Nate.

Diaz's best chance is to take the fight to his opponent's weakness, go for the clinch and try to get a TD, then a sub with those lanky limbs. Nate is very good at catching guys in transitions, something that is very hard to train for if you are not high level BJJ.

FWIW, I honestly don't see Nate as very confident with this fight. He doesn't seem to really want to win, only just collect his paycheck, his new 4 fight deal, and call it a day.
