Nate diaz training boxing

Conor's kicks are all flash with nothing behind them. They exist simply to disguise the fact that he's nothing more than a left hand. The lone exception was when he made good use of those front snap kicks (can't really call them teeps) against an out of shape midget with t-rex arms in Mendes. They actually serve him well, all things considered. If he took them out of his arsenal, guys would be able to better defend against that left but he uses them to keep them guessing.

It's not like he can just make a quick adjustment for this camp and incorporate them into his game plan either. Everything would have to change. His entire approach to striking would have to be adjusted in order to throw leg kicks with anything behind them. That's not his thing though. He's a boxer who has learned some TKD, he fights with a bit of a karate/TKD stance hybrid at distance until he's in range when he reverts back into being a boxer.

Nate proved that he can adjust and deal with leg kicks in the Johnson fight anyway. This rematch is going to come down to boxing, just like the first fight, so it would be stupid for him to pretend that Conor is going to turn into RDA all of a sudden. Actually, there's a great comparison to make there. Within 2 minutes of the RDA fight, Nate had essentially been crippled by those vicious leg kicks and was no longer in it. 90 seconds into the Conor fight was the first time Nate smiled because he know he was in there with someone who had nothing for him.
