If he is talking about the big fight purse, he should thank Conor and RDA for that. If RDA never pulled out, Diaz would still be making 20/20, which is what he made in his last win before fighting Conor. At most, 50/50 which is a huge stretch. He just made 2M to lose, which is 100x his last purse (for a loss).

If Diaz loses another, he will be back to making under 100k against anyone other than Conor.

So how exactly is he changing the game?

I think he meant changing the game by stealing Conor's thunder and turning it into "The Diaz Show"

By going to Cabo until Conor is ready. First one to ever hold off of fighting just to fight one person. We've seen people hold off for the belt... but not one single person.

These guys would end up fighting eachother one way or another. Call it destiny or whatever. Nate and Conor's history didn't start when RDA pulled out.

He doesn't have to thank no one. Conor's purse got bigger when Nate stepped in too. These guys brought out the best in eachother and needed eachother in every way.

yeah those fights changed the game. the game is now crappier. social media drama, fake feuds, champions shooting for stupid fights. a circus.

Meaning that titles don't mean shit nowadays.

Sadly.

don't forget to add Nate's balloon payment into your equasion. We don't know what it was... but we know that Nate got a big lump sum up front with his latest contract.

I'm sure it ain't McGregor money... but I'd guess it's at least close to 7 figures

Conor heard all Nates begging and felt bad for him. Wanted to get the Diaz bros out of poverty. He treated them like charity cases.

Nate hasn't changed shit.

Maybe because hes getting fighters to actually call out people and asking for higher pay instead of just saying "whatever, ill fight whoever."

If you don't see how he is changing the game you are blind.

He went from disclosed 40K to 500K to 2mil with a potential for more in less than a year.

Title fights no longer take precedence over big money fights. They main evented over Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate (a TITLE fight) and their rematch would have main evented over just about any fight the UFC can possibly make aside from maybe a Jon Jones title fight.

Now every fighter in the UFC is following the Nate Diaz formula and is calling out fighters or holding out for a big money fight. Look at Eddie Alvarez, Tyron Woodley, Bisping, etc. This will only become even more noticeable in the near future. Nick Diaz hasn't even come back yet.

When fighters with no name value like Woodley or Alvarez have the balls to say they want big money fights then you know Nate's work is done.

By running..

Lol @ changing the game. Give it a few months, after all this McGOAT fight hype dies down and no casuals will even know who Nate is again.

changing the game,by smoking his spliff in the cage before the fight.

Nate earned more in each fight with McGregor than he has in all of his fights combined. He is doing just fine.

The biggest sports stars and celebrities in the world were in attendance at UFC 202 salivating at the fight.

Nate is a household name for at least one more fight - with McGregor or without McGregor.

Same goes for Nick.
