Nate can easily be a top 5/title contender atm.

looking how cerrone managed to crack the top 5... i dont see a reason why nate cannot. lets examine nate vs the top 15.

Champ Khabib hard fight for nate
1- Dustin good chance nate wins this one
2- Tony hard fight for nate
3- Conor. nate already beat him twice
4- Cerrone. nate already beat him
5- Gaethje legs kicks > nate
6- Al nate wins
7- Lee nate wins
8- Edson leg kicks > nate
9- Pettis nate wins
10- Felder nate wins
11- Gillespie hard fight for nate
12- Hernandez nate wins
13- Vick nate wins
14- Oliveira nate wins
15- Makhachev hard fight for nate

i mean if his management plays smart they can literally pick 2-3 fights of the easy match ups and make it to the top 3 in under a year.
 
Nate did not beat Conor twice. In face he lost relatively close but easy to score decision in the rematch.

Other than that I would agree that he has a chance to make it to the top against the right competition - aka non wrestlers.
 
Anything is possible but putting Conor aside, nates been mollywhopped by every top lightweight " at the time he fought them" and hasn't fought in 80 years so I dont know how someone can say this with so much confidence behind it.

Its mma so anything is possible and has put weight on his frame but that's about all I can give him right now.

Well, first, he'd have to actually fight. That seems to be a bit of a problem. Second, he'd have to be able to beat a wrestler. That also seems to be a problem.
He's never been a top contender, and now, after not fighting for three years, he's suddenly supposed to "easily" become one? I really don't get it.
 
Is he a 155er though?
 
Nate's retired. I'll believe otherwise when I see him step in a cage.

Mythical creature or not but "motivated" nate is a fucking fight for anyone who can't wrestle for 5 rounds..

I could see him taking out gaethje (diaz brothers eats power punchers), tony, barboza, cerrone again, poirier, vick, conor again etc..

That is if he fights.. do i see him fighting.. nope..
 
I don’t know. Nate’s problem is that now that we don’t see any more Kurt Pellegrinos laying in his guard he’s only got one way to win, which is wearing his opponent out with boxing before they kick his legs off and wrestling him. He might also struggle to get down to 155 these days. He hasn’t fought in three years.

I think Gaethje will cripple him with leg kicks. Perhaps in one of Justin’s first few UFC fights Nate could’ve baited him into trading hands. I don’t think so now.
 
Diaz fans love to raise his value off of other people's accomplishments

cerrone beat 0 wrestlers to get to the top 5. he doesnt even to face any wrestlers and he can hit top 5. pick a strikers from 10-15 and 5-10 and youre there. the only wrestler he would have to fight is khabib since hes the champ.

not a diaz fan. khabib fan and cerrone isnt half the fighter nate is. nate can get off the couch and still finish cerrone.

nah. nate is only losing to wrestlers that wont gas and ppl with decent leg kicks who wont get ktfo while throwing those kicks.
