NASA Scientist believe they may be well on the way to proving negative energy exists and that it may not need much of it to travel through space at WARP. Thanks to spending more time developing ideas physicists have come up with a possible way to produce a WARP field. Yep a time space bending device that could allow traveling across entire star systems.
One slight problem you may annihilate a whole Star System when you arrive? This problem was discovered by Australian Physicist who looked over the data presented. One physicist believes that they could have a working system in 50 years based on developments in his computer models. His models prove that NASA would need millions of times less negative energy then what was required by Alcubierre warp drive.

The issue is that there is a cone of matter that would blast forward when you bring yourself out of WARP. This cone of energetic particles trapped through the trip will need to find a release and that means anything that's anything will be destroyed. Great if you need to destroy an alien planet before they invade us but for friendly visits slight problem.
Dr. Harold “Sonny” White now even believes that the amounts of energy needed is vastly smaller then earlier models. The one problem even the much smaller field will still create enough energy to produce 1.5 million Hiroshimas. This ship will be traveling with enough energetic particles to destroy a whole solar system. He has begun looking at build a micro size version of his ship to create small WARP fields in the lab.
