From Monte Cox FB:

Kotani, a 155er who trains at Rodeo Style, is 33-10-7 overall and has won 13 straight fights. Moments after signing him, Kotani was signed to the UFC and will compete July 19 in Dublin, Ireland.

This is some great news, hope that Kotani manages to have a better run than his previous one!!

No idea who this guy is. He'll probably do terrible in the UFC like the rest of Japanese fighters. He'll probably lose his debut by KO. Or he'll win a boring decision.

The dude that got wrecked by Siver?

I'm sure he'll do much better this time around, Tavares and Siver are no slouches, not to mention he's surely (hopefully) improved by then.

Without a doubt, the re-signing I've been waiting for (along with Nate Loughran).

Hopefully this one will be better than his fight with Siver.

True, neither guy is a slouch.

nice, i've been hoping he would get a second chance and it should be interesting but i can't say i expect too much from him.

I like the way the door always remains open for guys to come back if they can put a streak together (obviously guys like Daley aside).

good signing for UFC taking the ZST LW champ. His sub game is impressive.

What European LW talent is Naoyuki Kotani going to put over in Ireland?

Thats like the 6th LW the UFC has signed this week, they are well over 100 LW's now.

I'm quite sympathetic towards Japanese fighters for some reason.
Odd that he has so many draws.
