Yeah that's what I'm concerned about with Inoue having the same injury, is he predisposed to it? Brook was never the same after.

Brook's face swelled up and he had to have surgery, Inoue says no surgery and there were no visible signs of the break in the fight so it shouldn't be as big of an issue going forward

That's pretty cool of Inoue to let him borrow the trophy.

No doubt. He might be small, but that's a big man move right there.

They gave us one hell of a fight, a clean one at that, with several switches of momentum, Inoue looked fucking thrilled during the breaks as he was finding out what it was to get hit back, they showed each other tons of respect after the final bell, and now this. That’s a worthy fight of the year IMO.

I rewatched the fight and am glad I did. It's my FOTY. Donaire showed why he's a Hall of Famer.

I rewatched that a few times, I thought stoppage when he turned and ran away then I swear that ref counted to 10 before Donaire popped up, Inoue did too.

I thought he said 10 as well but glad he allowed it to continue, Donaire clearly was trying to time it to get as much recovery as possible. It gets annoying when a ref waves it off as they stand up at 9, they could at least ask them to walk forward to display any cognitive ability.

It was. Nonito bringing his kids up well and understand about working hard to get what you want. He could easily bring them up to be spoilt divas.

I immediately thought of Brook and then Meldrick Taylor. Inoue fought for 10 rounds with a broken orbital. I'm guessing he's never going to be the same after this. You wonder what his corner knew and if they considered stopping it or if a ringside doctor was listening in to the corner and heard anything. His team probably wouldn't have stopped it, even if they thought something was wrong. Much respect to Inoue but these things usually don't end well.
