Probably the best female acting I've seen on film.

It's up there with...

Kathy Bates in Misery.
Marion Cotillard in La Vie En Rose.
Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice.

Yeah I rewatched it several months back. Painful movie to watch (due to the sadness).

Yes she was very good. I still think she was better in Mulhulland Drive as the character had more emotions to display.

It's somewhat amusing to me (and perhaps a statement of the situation in Hollywood) that several years before she churned out these performances, she struggled to get auditions and couldn't get roles and was on the verge of suicide or quitting.

She is/was one of the best female performers around and doesn't get the recognition she deserves.

But I still think Mulhulland Drive is her better role (but being a Lynch film it's a bit more fringe, arty and not as easily understood).

Legit looked at the cover at Hollywood Video 1000x and always skipped over it. Need to watch it after seeing the love for it here. Favorite actress performance is Sheryl Lee in Fire Walk With Me but I'm open to it being overthrown.

Yup she became my favorite actress after seeing Mulholland Drive. Super talented.

2003? I probably watched 8 Mile instead.

I love Naomi Watts. I'll have to put this one on my list.

I recently watched Le Divorce just because of her lol.
