Social Nancy Pelosi went into politics immediately after college and now she’s worth $120 million

Good for her.

Her husband owns a financial leasing company.

How many millionaires are in Congress? It’s a politics in general problem, not a blue or red one.

Her husband owns a financial leasing company.

That's not where she made her wealth though. “He’s a private person, not involved in political life,” a Pelosi spokeswoman told the San Francisco Chronicle in 2007. “Mr. Pelosi’s investments are separate from hers, and they have separate careers.”

She and her husband, Paul, own a house and vineyard in California that’s worth at least $5 million and that brought in between $15,000 and $50,000 in grape sales in 2017. She owns a commercial property and a four-story building in San Francisco that each earned her at least $100,000. She also has stock in Apple, Facebook and Disney.

lol do you guys sit outside random country clubs and harass bankers and real estate execs who give their C-average kid and kid's friends job?

Pelosi sucks imo as a neoliberal yawnfest, but it's so ridiculous the levels of cliche ranting programmed right wingers do about her. Has there ever been a more talked about congressperson in American history? Ever tried spreading that criticism around to the countless shitbags in elected office or simply scumbag business people not working in government?

Does anyone actually think people like Pelosi (rich progressives) stand to lose anything from the policies they advocate in the name of helping the proverbial little guy? Sure they may pay more in taxes, but they'd still own mansions with scenic views, travel first class, and never have to worry about their kids getting into college and getting good jobs as long as their kids aren't total shit heads.

So you're admitting America is a rigged class warfare game?

"Rigged" would be putting it too strongly. People do succeed through hard work, sacrifice, and luck. But there certainly is an elite segment of society whose members 'scratch each other's backs' as the saying goes, making it harder for the 99% to fill the roles that members of this club assume.

I honestly don't care either way. I just remember reading that she was a self made woman. If she invested right and made it big than good for her. She just needs to be held to the same standards by Democrats as she is a wealthy person in a powerful position.

I'm aware of the fact that many people in politics have used their positions to create wealth for themselves or those close to them. This isn't really a left vs right issue though, it is just a major problem in politics. When the people making the laws are the in left unchecked this sort of thing happens. It's the problem we get for allowing career politicians and lawyers running the country.

Full bank, empty spirit. Fuckin' way she goes boys. She also has the Artie Lange problem if I remember the photo correctly. Probably setting up coca cola drops for the intelligence community.
