and which items do you buy generic over name-brand?

For me, all medicine I buy is generic. Fight me

I'll pay a lot more going out to a restaurant that has a good head chef, that actually prepares the daily menu based on what is fresh, in season, and local.

Not completely sure that was the question...

Also, I love the kroger brand cookie crisp better than the actual name-brand

Any cleaner that touches my body. Hand, shampoo, Tide for the washer. So on and so forth.

I'm waiting for the first "You sound poor" comment in this thread but you save much more on kroger brands. The ones I'll pay extra for is fresh meat and fish. Household products I'll use kroger

It depends on what it is. Drugs, I always buy generic. With other stuff I will often try generic products and if it's not as good, I won't buy it again. My local grocery store just brought in 2 generic brands of chips and both are actually pretty good.

There is a tier in the middle called store brand.

I buy Costco's store brand stuff.

Costco's Kirkland generics are better than most name brand items. Because they're often relabeled high end items.

I guess most things I buy is name brand.

Cheap paper towels and tp suck. Cheap dishwasher tablets suck. Cheap trash bags suck.

I'd rather spend an extra dollar(s) on shit especially if it is stuff that will last me a while.

Quality socks, shoes, and jeans are a must for me.
