not sure if serious

100% serious. BJ won mundials big deal he hardly uses his BJJ in his fights. He only has a top game and most of the time he is on his back. Unless he is able to rock his opponent is his bjj effective? MMA bjj is not the same as gi grappling. Sure he has good defence but his offensive bjj hasn't been that impressive. Thus having a very tough time applying his jiu jitsu prowess to mma.

Not sure if you are serious. Did you watch BJ vs Hughes 2? He didn't sub Hughes or anything but he sure showed some serious BJJ skill. Reversing Hughes and getting back control, triangle/ armbar combination.

Also, choking out a legit BJJ black-belt in Kenny Florian after securing back control isn't anything?
Ferocious guard passing and top control vs numerous opponents, securing back control vs Fitch and Diaz, etc.

Yes and LOST all but one of those fights. He rocked Kenny and submitted him. Legit BJJ BB is great in a gi but its not the same in mma. Neither Fitch of Hughes have a BB in bjj and they defended fine. If BJ's BJJ was very effective in mma he would be submitting bigger guys after all he is the one that said its all about technique. The smaller guy beats the bigger guy all the time.

He hurt Kenny but Kenny was recovered and defending well when BJ had his back. BJ showed his BJJ prowess in getting that RNC.

He may have lost those fights but my point was he showed his BJJ skill. If your definition of BJJ skill is based only on wins or subbing fresh opponents who are bigger than you, I don't know what to say to you.

The reason BJ lost was not due to lack of BJJ skill, it was from other things: conditioning, fighting out of weight-class, out-classed overall, etc.

His BJJ was never in question in those fights.
