so, i am just getting back heavy into supplements and I need some advice on what I should keep and what I should drop and anything else I should be taking:

    Right now I am taking:

    Multivitamin
    Glucosamine
    Flaxseed Oil
    DHEA
    Xenadrine Thermogenic
Xyience Muscle Meal, 32g protein, 2g creatine glutamine

Im about to order a Green supplement from GNC

    how does it look?

I am a runner and I circuit train with weights.

i would swap the flax oil for straight up fish oil or do both, and get rid of crappy overpriced xyience in exchange for plain ole whey and bcaa powder or pills.

greens is a good idea, i personally favor greens+ powder

and u might might want to try some creatine monohydrate post work out depending on your goals...more and more good research is coming out on it daily.

im all for thermos/"fat burner"/energy pills as long as their used in conjunction with good diet and excercise, not in lieu of

Im a vegetarian so I cant do the fish oil

I got the Xyience for 34 bucks for a 5lb tub, so it was a good deal and tastes good.

Im gonna finish it out and then switch to something else.

I use thermo's with a great diet and tons of conditioning.

Umm or why dont you eat 4-6 meals a day containing either:

    A. Vegetables/Lean Protein
    B. Fruit/Lean Protein

It's a simple formula that works.

I think your diet needs more work than your supps. Add some nuts at least.

Ive honestly considered going back to eating meat.

Im not a vegetarian like others. I dont care about causes or killing animals. I was tired of being fat and challenged myself to become one.

4 years later and I have lost a ton of weight and it really helped me get disciplined in a lot of other areas of my life.

I no longer drink sodas or caffeine and I have been able to accomplish a lot of goals.

Goin back to eating lean meats though i feel would elevate me tremendously.

I just worry if I go back, maybe some of my other bad habits will come back.......

probably a stupid way of thinking.

I guess I worry that if i start back eating meat, I will become very ill.

I dont know how to start back without getting real sick or if that would even happen.

Ill definitely add nuts in there.

also, i eat every 3-4 hours.

I was a vegetarian (for "moral" reasons) for 5 years in my teens and early 20s. I went back to eating meat and had no health issues at all. I farted a bit more and toilet smells became somewhat more pungent, that was it. Being a vegetarian for "health" reasons does not really make sense for most people.

    ^^^^

when i cut down on meat (never cut out), I find when I go to the toilet its much worse (smell wise). Too much fiber!

    It is very stupid

You won't become ill, just slowly work it back in so your body doesn't freak out. Don't start by eating a 500g steak for example

    Almonds- eat them

Fish oil- don't be a hippy. If you don't have an allergic reaction to it. The conversion of ala to dha and epa is like 5-10%

Haha.....I'm tempted to put that line in my sig.

But seriously, if you have no moral objection, you should be taking fish oil.

    thanks guys

Going to go out and get some fish oil.

I also got some Muscle Milk today *the individual pack* and it was very very tasty.

So Im gonna buy a tub of it Sunday and stop the shitty Xyience which destroys my stomach.

    quick question:

Should I take Muscle Milk BEFORE I work out

    Or just take it after?

    Or both?

^ If you still have some dough to waste get some

    BCAA and Creatine

Also, I've noticed that Greens (any greens supp) gives me gas. This also includes Fishoil (Most oils)..just a heads up. Wait....most of my supps give me horrendous gas problems.

As for Muscle Milk, you can take it pre and post.... I usually take whey protein post

Creatine Monohydrate Powder... the other forms of Creatine don't have much research backing them up. I have tried a couple other kinds and personally did not notice the kind of differences I have with mono.

Honestly, I think you need to get your diet in check before you start cramming in supplements. Just from looking at your diet, you're probably undereating...and you're a vegetarian who barely eats vegetables.

Those are the two I'd change first, then work on nutrient timing (ie: carbs primarily PWO and in the morning). I bet you'll see more rapid change from that than adding a greens product - if losing fat is your goal.

    Thanks a lot

I dont know what I would've done without your trolling.

  20. i never really used to eat greens because of taste so i bought some greens supplements.
after drinking that nasty greens shit i decided that regular greens taste so much better.
