My shockdoctor compression shorts came today

Their a lot more comfortable then i thought they would be compared to some people. I cant wait to use it this thursday. On thing that sucks is the cup makes me look like i got a boner when i have my gi pants on. But it fits perfect.

You should just wear it under your jeans and impress chicks the Derek Smalls way!


Let me know how it is to roll when wearing it. I can't imagine it being all that comfortable but I'll probably get one before i start BJJ back up. I was kneed in the goods once when someone was passing my guard in the past and I very much so would like to prevend it from happening again :redface:

I always wear my cup. You get used to it after a few sessions at most. Last night I had to tap out because of pressure on my cup. It was an accident and the guy felt bad, but I'm glad I wasn't without protection. :redface:

I use to wear a normal jock and the shockdoc compression shorts are waaaaay more comfortable than the jock! I never complained with the jock until I went back to using it while my compression shorts were in the wash!

The shorts I think are very comfortable, the cup has a lining round the edges and the shorts also have a lining where the cup goes. I'm guessing to make it more comfortable so that the cup doesnt dig in which happens sometimes with a normal jock.

I strongly recommended this product! The only problem as someone mentioned is that the cup is rather large and I can only wear it with some shorts because it sticks out too much!

I actually had to drop the shockdock cup. One day after a really good BJJ class both gi and nogi. My crotch was killing me. For one the bulge of the cup isn't big enough for me but the cup is too wide. So it cramps my stuff and digs into my thighs. I love the shorts idea so I am in the midst of searching for a cup with more of a bulge but is thinner then the shockdoc flex cup. I do have to say I did love my cup until that night and now I can't go back to wearing it when I roll but, I still love it when I go from bag to sparring.

You can swap the flex cup with any other cup that you would like. I use a Windy Steel cup with my Shock Dr shorts.

I own two pair and use the flex cup that comes with them. My balls have never been safer. The most I've ever been left with is slightly bruised thighs resulting from a below the belt knee from a guy with 7 years MT experience.

yeah i only do bjj, and wrestling and i would only use the cup for bjj. Is the flex cup bulge larger than most cups? Because of the tight shorts and gi pants it seems to bulge more

I think the bulge is larger on the SD cup which is good since everything can actually fit inside the cup instead of partly hanging out

If you wear spandex mma shorts over your regular cup, you can kind of recreate a compression short. That is what I usually do.

i kept catching knees in the crotch so i broke down and bought a pair of the shock dr shorts. super comfortable, i fogot i was even wearing a cup while i was rolling.

does anyone know where to get more compression shorts with the cup holder without getting a new cup with it? i want to get another pair of shock doctors but i really don't need another cup.
