Need peoples opinions on this morning shake I came up with and if i should get rid of/have more or less of certain ingredients. Or anything else I could throw in there.

Here goes:-

-8 - 10 fl oz water
-1 serving opimum choc flavoured whey protein (24g protein)
-2 table spoons pure oats
-2 table spoons pre ground flax seeds
-1 banana

I threw the banana in there for potassium and added taste.

blended it enough so theres no 'bits' left at the bottom of the glass when drinking.

What do you think about that for a morning shake?

Well for me, I would swap half a banana and do a full serving of oats, but that's just me. Then you could do the same later as well. But do as you wish.

God no! You don't put juice in that! Ban people for sayig stupid shit in here from now on.

Hahahaha, coming from you I knew it was a joke either way:) but geez, the amount of BS said in here sometimes is amazing.

I'm confused as to why one have a shake for breakfast? Is there a particular reason why you do that?

Yeah, if you train right away that's one thing. But a lot of people think that shakes are the fastest, best, and only way to get quality nutrition in the morning. I mean, throw a bowl of "old fashioned" oats into the microwave for 1:45 (it says to do it for longer, but that's bull) then add your protein, fruit, PB, whatever, and you have a nutritious mostly whole-food meal that will keep you full for a good while.

Shakes, IMO, are for peri-workout only.

Takes like 5 minutes to scramble up some egg whites. Pre-cook a big batch of spinach, microwave that oatmeal and you're golden.

But, you do have a point that it's easy to drink the shake on the road. Kinda hard to eat oatmeal and scrambled eggs in the car.

Its the quickest and easiest way for me to get nutritious food in my body when I wake up...I have a hard time eating in the morning, most foods sound unappealing to me. I will just sit there and pick at a bowl of oatmeal instead of eating it, but if i blend up the oats with protein and whatnot, I can slam it no problem.
