I have this weird pain in my left leg. It's hard to describe but I will do my best.
The pain is not in my calf or shin but right on the side of the leg between the calf muscle and to the side of the shin (maybe its the fibula?)

Here is a picture noting where the pain is coming from.

When i am not applying pressure to my leg im fine but when i walk for more than 10 minutes i start getting the pain. Happens almost immediately when i try and jog do any type of jumping..

I recently started walking to the gym (1.6miles, x2 a day) and thats when the pain began showing up, its not much but iv never really walked/jogged. I'm also flat footed..dont know if thats a factor..i doubt it because my right leg is fine for the most part.

Is it time to get x-rays?

I also cant help but feel that maybe the fact that iv recently gained about 25lbs of muscle might play into this. I used to have chicken legs now i got some bulging muscles on my legs lol

i was skinny as shit and doing lots of drugs..then i quit and started getting back into working out. Been at it for about 4 months. I was fine before all the walking but the fact that I haven't recovered is bothersome..

Is it on the inside or the outside? If it is on the inside it sounds like it could be posterior shin splints. I also have low arches and suffer from this. I found rolling a small hard ball (field hockey ball in my case) under my arches helped release the tension.

25lbs of muscle in 4 months, sounds legit
Could be more..

yep this sounds like my problem

But damn...3-4 weeks for recovery...i can barely handle my two off days. Is this an ongoing problem you have?

Either way, i'll try that. Thanks

Will I have to change up my weightlifting during leg day? If i fight through the pain (like when im shadow boxing/kicking the bag) I am usually able to continue my regimen but that sounds bad in the long run.
