I have somewhat a story and a concern...

The story was about 4 years ago when I was in the HighSchool wrestling team and during a match I felt my knee pop, it send a bad nerve up my thigh. When it happened I figured it was nothing, and tried ot be tough about it.

My coach simply said I pulled a mucle, without really wanting to check it out .

Today it keeps hurting and coming back, knee snaps when I ride my bike no matter how much I stretch. Could this be something serious? I have a ridiculous fear of going witha doctor because I dont want surgery. I dont like the thought of it.

Think its anything serious?

sooo you're 4 years out of high school and STILL retarded?

go see a doctor

i wish i can respond like a jackass, but i cant follow hayliks, his responses are too uber.

Yeah, I'm thinkin you need to see a doctor, otherwise if you do anyfurther damage you may have to have more than one surgery to repair what's wrong. At least get a MRI so they can tell you what's wrong. Knees are not something to mess around with and just let go.

it's the stupid male mentality of "your a man, be strong and tough it out! that fixes anything!!" that is commonly associated with coaches.

I love how they dont understand when something is broken, its not a matter of mental strength, its that its physically broken and needs time to heal.

1. it wont heal if you keep pushing it
2. you will perform like shit until its fixed.

coaches are idiots sometimes. I know my football coaches were "walk it off" fuck you I cant walk off a sprained ankle, bitch.

Lots of coaches are total bullshit. They don't care if you're that guy gimping about at age 40 because of his highschool sports injury. They just want to win. Don't trust a coach; they don't have your best interests in mind.

My wrestling coach was awesome. He was VERY good about discerning between a bellyaching bitch who was crying about fake injuries vs legitimate injuries. He had just about everything injured and repaired at one time or another, so he knew exactly the type of pain and feeling of a true injury.

never dumb down when it comes to your body!!!a doctors advise is a must for any knee concern, whether four years ago or not!!!ttt

There are plenty of good ones. Just unfortunately in HS you don't often get a say in the matter....
