Been a while since I've seen Garibay gear. Personally, I've never liked them just off of what I seen prior. The leathers he had looked very dull, and I was even nitpicky about no logo/patch. I posted a thread last year on how my coach flew out to Guadalajara with the women's national team and met up with JC Pacheco for some mitts. Those are done for so he got some new ones from Garibay, and they look a lot more improved. The colors pop a lot more, and he has a logo patch now. Antonio Margarito joined our team about a month ago and is hooking it up fat. My coach told him exactly how he wanted the mitts to look and was specific about the tri-cut leather for the Mexican flag, then Margarito also got his tM logo embroidered for promo purposes when they shoot video and whatnot.
Mitts ran for somewhere around $300. They ordered a body shied with the same design concept for around $800 (god damn!). They ordered these around the 15th and got these last Thursday, so the turnaround was fast.
Anyway, here's some pics. He says the padding for Garibay's mitts are very solid, almost like a heavybag.
