My big stupid hype trains thread.

I found this thread interesting, 100% of my attention are on the elite fighters and potential candidate that could be the next elite fighters. Of course this thread is for free agent. Of course.

But experience taught us there is nothing that is for granted and no fate guaranteed. If someone is special it will be known.

The example that I can give is Troy Worthen, he was 7-0, left handed, southpaw, wrestling background.
Now he is 7-3, and probably retired from MMA. All it took was decent competition.

Raimundo Batista was 12-0 in Brazil, he got destroyed by Yusuf Raisov in one round.
Khusein Askhabov was 23-0 and lost to an average fighter.

I can list you a list of 100 fighters who were prospects and got destroyed. But that is to be expected, 80% of prospects fail, as MMA is just a tough world.

A prospect is not a prospect until being tested seriously by at least two serious tests. If not he will remains just a potential prospects.

You were right to notice Axel Sola, for those who do not know, he is planning to train in Dagestan for a whole month to improve his wrestling. Good mentality, already good skills. He has a bright future. Good luck to him.

One last thing, Vladislav Rudnev is a genius, already 10-0. The P4P number 2 Ukrainian fighters, just after Amosov. He is special.

It's multi year thread at this point. People can go back to the early pages and there are indeed many guys who didn't make it but also many guys that did. But there's 76 fighters I made posts about currently on the UFC roster so I don't think that's too bad.

Continue with your efforts Hellowwhosthat.

I will assist you with additional informations if neccessary.

Out of curiosity I went back to check the first page.

One of the first responses correctly predicts Daniel Zellhuber (who just had a Fight of the Year contender), and a few posts later you correctly predict Alberto Montes (who just won a contract in Contender Series).

Off to a pretty good start.

Weird UFC hasnt signed him, he is a solid Mexican LW. He is young and still developing but he could be good for a future forray into Latin America.

Fought last in the same event as Bella Mir. He seems talented enough to warrant a chance.

Alberto Montes

Country - Venezuela
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 26
Promotion - Titan
Record : 5-0

Very impressed with the performance of this MMA masters product on last night's Titan show. Fighting a tough guy who's been on DWCS series in Richie Santiago, he started by throwing all kinds of fluid looking shit on the feet and then when Santiago tried to grapple with him, he choked the grappling specialist unconscious with an anaconda choke.

Adrian Lee, the younger brother of Christian lee is 2-0 and only 18 years old. [One FC]
Why did Sayzid leave One ? He should had dethroned Christian lee. Shady Chatri is modern world Don King.

One day my younger brother will be in this list of prospects, I promise.

Saygid wasn't getting the Lee fight and he's always wanted to fight in the UFC. He was supposed to be on contenders this season but I think Chatri enforced a matching period to stop it so he'll have to wait for now

☑DWCS Week 9 – October 8:
LHW - *Artem Vakhitov (3-1)(KB) Def. Islem Masraf (3-1)
WW - *Kody Steele (7-0) Def. Chasen Blair (6-3)
HW - *Mario Pinto (9-0) Def. Lucas Camacho (6-1)
WW - *Islam Dulatov (11-1) Def. Vanilton Antunes (16-7)
FLY - Sean Gauci (10-1) Def. Anthony Drilich (8-2)

Islam Dulatov claimed his seven brothers were all tougher than him, have you seen any of his brothers fight?

Only two other Dulatovs are pro MMA fighters, both 1-0 but one of them hasn't fought since 2019 and had a very poor amateur career.

Islam is the most talented Dulatov brother from what I know, but they are very close so thats why he said that I think. I think he has 2 little brothers that are preteen or early teens so who knows they might turn into killers but personally I think Islam is the best fighter out of all the brothers.

Alibeg is arguably better than Saygid and it's Christian Lees next fight, so we will see what's what.

Why do you list OKTAGON fighters, but not ACA or KSW fighters? OKTAGON is as big as both. You can say it's bigger than ACA. Just curious.

It's a relatively new player on the scene and it's also relaxed about letting guys go the the UFC whereas ACA and KSW will hold guys to contracts.
Ah, makes sense. I don't think they'll be letting their guys go to the UFC as easily anymore. If I recall correctly there was an interview someone did where they said they would be offering their fighters better deals so they would stay with them around the time they cut a bunch of a fighters from their roster which was also around the time Lima left.

I think they probably will. I think it's a good way of getting people to sign for you. If guys know they can go to the UFC if given the chance then fighters who want to go there are more likely to sign for you. Realistically the UFC are only going to take a few a year and you can offer them more money to stay if they want to buy don't stand in their way if they really want to leave.

Imo with the UFC realistically being unchallengeable that's the best way to build a solid #2.

Thoughts on Juli on DWCS? She ate a loooooot of shots in the fight. She looked better in the second and third round, but even then she was still eating shots on the feet in those rounds. She's obviously relatively young and I know she'll most likely grow and continue to improve, but I still think she'll be undersized at 115. She would benefit from the UFC creating an atomweight division, but there's still plenty talent that give her problems. If she stays at 115 and takes fights outside of her home promotion SFH, I think she could run into fighters who could give her problems.

I thought she did fine. I do think giving her a couple of fights outside the UFC to allow her to gain some experience and get a bit more jacked is a good idea though.
