Silva and Shogun are Kickboxing and not Muay Thai?

Wow man.

You were right.

You are drunk.

Save the BS for when you are sober.

Sorry Brooklyn, Muay Thai...But that doesnt answer my question as to why no Jits based champs?

I don't see why it matters. Whoever is champion is champion. It isn't based on the style as much as it does the individual. MMA is now at the point that ones fighting ability greatly overshadows what their base style. I am not saying that one's style doesn't make a difference, but as long as someone has conditioned themselves in all fronts to compete in MMA, than they will succeed.

UFC 1 is long dead.

Stop Drinking.

Lol.

Pwn.

Hell, even if he was drunk, that just shows that he is telling us what he truly feels.

A drunken man's words is a sober man's thoughts.

I am pretty stoned.

I havent fought in many years in anything. Went to some judo and then grappling comps over a couple years from 99, and 02. Since then I havent done hard judo in 8 years. But I got into alot of fights.(not self-defence sits, just fights) And I really think that helps. I'm not your mid elite level bjj/judoka talking to you. I have benn in scraps when just after my best in judo, and have fought good tuff friends in other sports. I think judo is the glee, not because we can't compete with the grappler due to far wing perspectives:D .

It is because WE deal with a 'huge grey area' my friend. Over even that of a bjjer/wrestler. Judo is what most closely resembles smart fighting between 2 top athletes.:D

The dynamics of power, speed and strength with tech, to the ground on top will get you very, very comfortable in this fight, unless he has tricks underneath. He tried one, but you know it, continue to pound his face in.:icon_chee

Pavel, (hw, where we work down from) showed this in his dynamics of primality. BTW, HE was 'primal' not mma. At closer to 40. If the 'trick' to a judoka won't work underneath, you're SOL. And, if a judoka has to worry about subs with a bjjer, then the wrestler is too, SOL.:icon_chee

hey man, the thread title is "my antagonistic thread", I'm aloud to say shit :D

I dont know about you but, it was funny to see you all have it crawl up your ass like that.

do we really need to go all the way back to the early 90's? ok...so there are no BJJ champs right now....stlye verse stlye, its goes without need to be said that BJJ is the pure shit to know...that should go without said...if not go watch 1993 in Buffalo or whatever

however...today were seeing a new evolution in fighters...BJJ blackbelts, or very very well versed submission fighters who can strike very well

Chuck and Fedor... i see them as genetic freaks...Fedor...hes just fedor...sickly explosive...hip movement out the ass...ect. ect...chuck because of body type...good wrestling to not be able to be taken down...chin made of stone, and arms that hang to the ground

no...there arent any bjj "based" champs now...but dont play dumb and act like its not a giant part of their game

thread over
