I am attending my very 1st competition of any sort this coming August. Participating in NAGA's "Battle at the Beach" in the (hopefully) 169.9 weight division. As of right now I weigh, in the morning, about 178. I am 6'2 and train 3 times a week. Run 2 miles each morning around 6am to get my metabolism working. My entire life i just sit back eat what i want, and as long as i play basketball and train, i don't gain any substantial amount of weight. However, my instructor, says because of my lanky-ness, I should try to get down to 169.9 because the 170-179.9 class is filled with much stronger grapplers. So I ask, how do I lose these last 9 pounds? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
