MW rankings shift

According to general consensus boetdch was top 10 mw... Some ranked him between 4-7.... In sherdog he was 5th.... Costas is now top 5 MW in the world.... Just saying...

I sorta agree with boetsch being overated.

He had a sorts fluke win over okami and arguably lost to lombard.

He was sorta exposed tonight.

Phillipou vs lombard, winner faces bisping vs belfort winner.

Not asking rudely or as a Bisping hater but can someone please explain to me why Bisping is ranked so high? Stann - 10th at MW at best...Mayhem - isn't top 20...Rivera - maybe top 15...Akiyama - not top 20...Dan Miller - not top 20...Bisping is def a good fighter i'd put him around 5 after Boestch and Belcher losing tonight

Why shouldnt he be ranked there? He's on a nice run that built up before this fight took place. I think its more likely he'll be around 7 or 8 but its hard to group lombard/okami/boetsch given their recent history.

There will always be flukes. Okami was dominating everyone not named Anderson or Chael. Then, after dominating Boetsch for most of the fight, Boetsch pulls off a fluke come-from-behind flurry. All of a sudden Okami dropped from a top 5 MW to near the bottom of the top 10!

Nope.

AS, Weidman, Belfort, Bisping and Okami are top 5. Any one of the #2 to #5 guys could lose to anyone else on a fluke...

Akiyama was ranked in the top 15 when Bisping beat him. He had only lost to Leben in recent memory and had been ranked #10 before the Leben fight.

Why are people obsessed with rankings? Look at the quality of the fighters instead of the number (or lack of) next to their name.
