Who remembers this mission from 10yrs ago

Starts at around 1:20 mark

What do yall think of the mission? Controversial or Naw?

Still pretty fucked up, but the game is rated MA and gave you a chance to bail on it so that's enough parental controls for me, and if you're offended well then fuck off with your feelings

Probably one of the most WTF moments in gaming...

I like that for several years there, I associated Christmas with playing my new copy of CoD all day.

It's crazy, because as "shocking" as it was 10 years ago, even though I knew what happened, seeing it again for the first time in forever gave an odd feeling of disbelief that they were able to do that.

The game is rated Mature and even then, they give you a big ass trigger warning and the option to skip the mission completely.

Not controversial at all.

Same. Never bought a copy myself, made it an easy Christmas gift for family
I remember I had to go to my girlfriends family Christmas so I only got to play one MW 2 level before she dragged me away from the tv. CoD became such a parody of itself that a lot of people forget just how big of a deal it was for a MW release.

No Russian

Member when FPS games had good single player campaigns.

I was 25 or 26 when MW came out, had to wait for the my 5-6 year old to go to bed before I played...

I still play it because it's BC for Xbox One. I mainly do the Army Ranger missions where the Russians invade.

I think it is rather shitty and in bad taste, but I realize I don't have any moral high ground to stand on since I love mowing down innocent people in the Saints Row series

It was a big deal back then. Like the main talk in all of gaming, on the news etc.

For as big as it was back then, it would be company suicide today. People would gas light the developers and demand the main developers be hung in the street

I love mw2. Me and my brother were playing some spec ops just yesterday. That airport mission is pretty crazy though, I never shoot anyone, just walk along with them.

Good game, I like that no matter the choice you made the ending was the same.

I think the Russians were mad at that whole plotline from that series, and Black Ops 1, and 2 because they were bad guys, and we were killing them.

It was important to the story line and allowed video games to really delve into emotional story telling.

Its funny how most felt unease when first playing it but also feel nothing at all kill innocent civilians in GTA. See, good story telling means a lot

I used to play the Hitman games killing everyone on a level silently, including all innocent civilians, and if I got caught I'd go postal with a shotgun or some shit and kill everyone in a total bloodbath. Blood Money was the best for that

Latest Hitman has like 10,000 witnesses standing around everywhere and infinitely respawning guards so you can't go full on whiteboy anymore
