I'll introduce you all to Tarek Fatah.

I know I'll get a lot of TLDW comments. But I'll highly recommend you all watch this video.

No opinion, no cliffs Just, watch this person who's smarter than you?

Gtfo with this click bait dipshit or at least put cliffs or some kind of statement.

I've posted many of his videos before.

He's an awesome guy and I'd love for him to be a real reformer in the Muslim world, but he is firmly for the separation of mosque and state and therefore is probably viewed more as an apostate or house negro by other Muslims than a real reformist. He calls backwards Muslims out all the time on his Twitter.

Put it this way - if Muslims were like him, there wouldn't be a problem with Muslims. I will have to say that I definitely don't agree with some of his viewpoints, though.

Thank you for doing the TS' job. Ayad jamal Aldin is also an influential Muslim with a good head that he's managed to keep on his shoulders. Also points to the separation of politics from Islam as being the only future for the faith.

I don't think anyone has said that there are no good Muslims, just that Islam is dangerous as hell, and it tends to kill/imprison/torture potential reformers.

The doctrine can't be changed. Even if ignored for a period of time, it can't be changed.

Sorry. I probably should of put some cliffs in the OP. I'll admit my thread was a bit "clickbaitish". But I was hoping some of you would watch the video I posted if you were truly interested in the whole Islamist fascist ideology. Because Tarek and other muslim reformers are the only hope we have when it comes to countering Islamist fascism. Posting comments about how islam is cancer and making jokes on Sherdog about how backward the Islamic ideology is, well, that isn't exactly productive, in my opinion.
Tarek Fatah is the the most intelligent muslim reformer who is speaking openly about Islamism and trying to counter it in a productive way in Canada.

I always get a chuckle out of retarded op's. "hurrr durrr, dis guy gots more ballz den you!".

Lol, I get a chuckle out of people like you who just stumble across someone who they think no one has ever heard of before. Props to soda for doing your job.

More balls is right.

Don't know what the average Muslim thinks of this guy, but I'm sure the extremists would kill him, his family and any known aquaintences if given the opportunity.

He say's his religion (Islam) is rooted in Judaism, so take a guess what the average Muslim thinks. He's just a puppet for the left imo, not taken seriously at all, if even known, by Muslims. i wouldn't mind if it was otherwise, but i doubt it.

I still think we as a free civilization/society need to go further.

A) I don't know why Fatah holds onto the "Muslim" tag still. This to me is a problem - even for someone (Fatah) who poses practically as an anti-muslim.

B) I truly believe that the cult isn't changeable as long as it has the 1400 year versions of the Qur'an and Hadith (hate books) as its central guidance material.

Ultimately, a domesticated version of Islam (2.0) would just be another sect or even religion unto itself with the books of hate in its midst ready to make an Islamist out of anyone taking them seriously (whether that be 1000 years from now or not).

I do believe that as it stands we're dealing with a ticking time-bomb that is Islam (broadly, all-inclusive). I'm not convinced that people like Fatah (while well-intentioned, knowledgeable and certainly outspoken about the evils of Islamism) aren't still part of the problem and in fact are delaying the inevitable that Islam needs to be made illegal if civilization is to survive.

If there is going to be a push back against the Islamist cancer infecting the Muslim world its going to have to be done by a coalition of actors who might not agree on everything. The perfect is the enemy of the good as I always say. Even a conservative Mullah or Sheikh can be an ally against Islamism as long as he accepts that his sphere of influence should not overlap with politics.

We certainly need more Muslims like this guy.
