I've used protein powder in pancakes many times. I've even used it for french toast. I don't know how to make bread so I can't help you on that one.

Berardi "Mancakes"

1/4 cup ground almond meal
1/4 cup ground pecan meal
1/2 cup flax meal
1/3 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup protein powder
1/3 cup cottage cheese
2 eggs and 2 egg whites
1 cup berries
1/4tsp baking powder
1/2tsp cinnamon

fuckin' a!

Berardi writes for T-nation, yeah?

wait. .. 2 eggs, and 2 egg-whites? So. . . 4 eggs?

2 whole eggs plus the whites from 2 eggs (no yolks)

and that's from precision nutrition.

yup, I guess it cuts down most of the cholesterol

Which doesn't matter since your body doesn't assimilate it into your blood.

Anyways, protein powder is really good to bake with. In baked goods, it acts like egg or wheat gluten as a binding agent to hold everything together.

what could u do to sub for the flax meal? are all those "meals" just whatever it is ground up?

This sounds great but has anyone tried it? I wasn't too impressed with how some of the recipes from the "deserts by berardi" pdf turned out.

I do ok for myself, I do make a mean pwo shake.

I tried his cookie recipe which was mostly natural peanut butter, protein powder, and a little bit of oil and the things turned to dust promptly after coming out of the oven. I tried another of his recipes which was supposed to be this cheesecake thing and it was like a plastic brick. I've had success with some of his recipes but I just think he gets a little overly ambitious and optimistic at times.

I've actually got pretty close to a 100% success rate with recipes I've taken from D&S members though.

Cheesecake is supposedly insane hard to make, even with a recipe.

i think you need to lighten up on the powder.
