where do i get info on it, where in brazil it is when and how to compete?

There are talks of it being held in LA this year. As for getting in, I have no idea. I know brazilians have to qualify. Each of their states have qualifier tourneys and the #1 and 2 go.

Bad for the level of competition as many good Brazilians won't afford to participate.

Last year us gringos just had to sign up to participate, I've yet to hear anything different this time around.

i was thinking it sucked that it wasn't in brazil, for the same reason as you. then a friend pointed out htat there are some americans that can't make it to brazil and they will get to compete this year.

No diss to the American BJJ scene but in my experience the level in Brazil is still well above the US's.

It is great for exposure for the sport and maybe even for number of participants though.
