Multiple Fight Validation

Do you guys believe fighters should fight each other more than once (trilogies, etc.) in order to more accurately validate who's the better fighter? Trilogies like Hughes/Penn and Liddell/Couture painted a nice picture of who the dominant fighter would ultimately be.

Some fights are finished so quickly, that often times there can be a lot left to the imagination.

Thoughts?
 
I think if the division landscape allows for it they should. The ultimate goal of the sport is to see who the best fighter is with as little doubt as possible. When guys get caught there is sometimes a lot of doubt as to who the better fighter still is. Cain vs JDS is about as clear an example as you'll ever see. For a long time people thought JDS was clearly better than Cain and it simply wasn't true.
