Mud daubers are a great pest to have if you hate spiders.
They are solitary scamps that will chase out all other wasps and they will kill every spider you have in your garage.

Look at the upper joists in your garage, you're might see a conical, paper structure that the mud dauber makes and stuffs with spiders it kills.
