we don't got any. i just know of williams gym in long beach, aztlan amateur boxing center in norwalk down alondra blvd, but those are boxing gyms. i'm pretty sure the closest MT gym is somewhere in lynwood, but i forget the name and the street.
there are quite a number of good places in orange county, but a lot are pricy, and it's quite far from norwalk... when i say orange county, i mean way on the other side of orange county, beyond buena park, la palma, and other borderline L.A. county cities.
but i've seen a place, not too far from where you are, in la mirada, down imperial highway. it's attached to a strip mall, and it has this BIG ASS sign that says MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. we had a family party at a filipino restaurant that was just a couple doors away from it. i took a second to go over and check it out, pretty big facility. plus they had there own built in equipment store, with gloves, gear, etc., AND a weightroom.
anyway, i looked at a brochure and they indeed offered muay thai, as well as boxing, kicboxing, subwrestling, etc. but on top of that they also had a shitload of more mcdojo-ish things, like cardio kickboxing, karate (in fact, when i was there, all i saw was a bunch of little kids and shit). and at the desk, i swear to god, no shit, i saw this dude who looked just like that rexkwondo guy from napolean dynamite.
that's the closest place i can recall, but as you can see, it's not a dedicated MT gym, and i have no idea how the classes go down there-- if the instruction is good, if it's bad, etc. obviously i checked the place out at the wrong time, since no thai boxers or mmaists were there to be scene, so i can't tell you much other than that. even if the instruction is good, once again it aint a dedicated MT gym, so if you're looking for a place that's like something out of "Rocky," where you can go in any time after doing roadwork and shit like that, it's probably not the best bet.
