Mr. Robot Discussion "Hack the Gibson"

I didn't even know it was back on. So this season is more on par with 1 than 2? Because 2 was just a grind to get through for me

I enjoyed season 2 but yea 3 is much better.

Also forgot to mention Angela love how she turned into the crazy bagger lady. What a weak POS. Acts so high and mighty like she's making big moves with Ecorp and all this nonsense. Then finds out she got played and loses it.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Angela is Price's daughter? He's gotta be the anonymous benefactor for her mother's treatment.

I'm afraid Darlene is going to die. I hope not because she and Dom have really grown on me this series.

Looks like you were right!

Solid finale. Its a little weird that after 3 seasons they just reversed everything they were aiming to do lol but the direction its going should be interesting. Happy to see that drug dealer dude back since he was a great character (as basically everyone on this show is) but at the same time we have a fuck ton of villains right now and I hope they dont use him as too long of a subplot to drag on the fight against the Dark Army

Great finale! This season was every bit as good as season one if not better.

Vera coming back after the credits seemed a little out of place to me.

The biggest question of all is what is this project White Rose is working on? Everything in this series has been very realistic, but WR keeps hinting at something else.

I think its dead obvious its a time machine at this point. Based on all of Angela's hints this season which were brought back in ways in the finale, and then White Rose's convo with that Asian guy. Whiterose said when the project was complete she'd find him, and I think that was the most revealing clue yet its a time machine.

I think so too, but everything in this series has been realistic and plausible. Even the hacking has been made as realistic as possible, and I thought the show creator said there would be no time travel.

Nice call. I assumed price maybe took pity on what his company did to her family. I was positive he was the benefactor. Price isn't the best guy as far as morality but you can tell he's not a monster. Was shocked to hear he was her dead.

Yea I don't think it's a time machine. I think it's more to do with alternate dimensions. That's a lot more realistic at this point than time traveling. Whatever it is though seems Price thinks White Rose is crazy and the project wont work.

I semi binged the season. Incredible season on par if not better than season 1. The Elliot episode with the kid was some of the most heartwarming stuff I've ever seen on TV. Incredible since you basically have no character buildup for the kid.

Even before this season, people speculated time travel. They kept being so heavy handed with the clues during this season, I felt it has to be a red herring. But based off price confirming he thinks it's a delusion and White Rose saying that stuff before her dude killed himself, it makes me think it has to be time travel or alternate dimensions.

Yeah, it could be parallel dimensions, or maybe some digital afterlife. WR is obsessed with time. Part of me think it's one big red herring, but Price's comments make it sound she is working on something science-fictiony. One thing that has been clear is that almost everyone in the dark army is not afraid to kill themselves if they are compromised. The only exceptions being Leon, Irving, and White Rose.

So anyone else have to google the jesus dude during the post credit scene?

Makes me excited for season 4.

damn that was the finale thought this season had 13 episodes =)

Vera was in season one.

He killed Shayla.

Yea that's what google taught me. With the reintroduction of Mexican Jesus maybe they'll team up and burn the elite down. Gonna need some muscle for that.

I'd recon Vera becomes Mr Robots first follower. kekeke

Well, friend, looks like next season's the last.

https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/2018/08/29/mr-robot-ending-season-4/

Recently Mr. Robot star Rami Malek and Christian Slater gave conflicting statements on the series possibly ending in season 4. Well, one of them had to inevitably be right - and as it turns out, it was Slater. We can now confirm that Mr. Robot will end after season 4.

THR has the exclusive report that USA Network and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail have agreed to end the series in season 4, with a 12-episode arc to finish things out.

Other details revealed in the report include the announcement that Mr. Robot season 4 will begin production this winter in New York, and will premiere in 2019 - over a year since season 3 wrapped.

In a deeper breakdown of the situation, THR reveals that Mr. Robot was originally going to have both a fourth and fifth season, with season 4 originally supposed to be just eight episodes - the shortest season the show would've had. Instead, Season 4 will mirror the length of season 2 with twelve episodes; the writing process has been split into two halves due to Esmail's commitment to Julia Roberts' Homecoming, which will be a big factor in the long delay.

Here's the statement that Esmail issued, regarding the decision to bring the show to an end:

"When I first created the world of Mr. Robot, I thought it would be a niche television series with a small, cult following. Over the past three years, it has become so much more, and I am continually humbled by the show’s recognition and by the amazing cast and crew that work tirelessly to help bring my vision to life.

Since day one, I’ve been building toward one conclusion — and in breaking the next season of Mr. Robot, I have decided that conclusion is finally here. Everyone on the creative team, including the amazing people at USA and UCP, didn't want to say goodbye, but we ultimately have too much respect for Elliot's journey to extend past its inevitable ending. Therefore, season four will serve as the final chapter of the Mr. Robot story. To fans of the show: thank you for the past three years, and I can't wait to share this exciting final season with you."

As we previously stated when rumors of Mr. Robot's end started circulating, the show is indeed positioned for a strong final arc:

"By the time of season 4's start, the major characters of Mr. Robot will indeed all be in position for their final arcs. Surviving supporting characters like Darlene, Angela, Tyrell and Dom have all gone just about as far as they can, storywise, with just some final sacrifices and/or redemption left to tie things up. The same goes for Elliot himself, as seeing him and Mr. Robot united and at full power (so to speak) is pretty much the last place this story has left to go. If Esmail and Co. can wrap up season 4 well, it would make Mr. Robot one of the most cohesively tight and compelling TV show journeys around. And at nearly 50 episodes for the complete series, one of the better binge-watching experiences for all those latecomers who "discover" the show after it has wrapped."

Mr. Robot season 4 will premiere sometime in 2019.

October 6th final season. I just finished re-watching season 1 and 2 on season 3 right now. I forgot so much of what happened.

This Guy absolutely destroyed episode 7. Gotta watch it.
