Good for him , I get that South Korea mandates their young able bodied men to serve because of the shadow of the North Looming but it does suck.

He went in about a month after KZ so it sounds about right. He was talking about retiring if I remember correctly but he might have just meant that he would be away due to military.

Hope he returns strong, should be 4-0 in UFC. He has one of the most misleading records (2 UFC decisions that went against him but were highly controversial, loss in a fight he dominated but dropped the decision due to missing weight, DQ loss).
