So I'm wanting a new GI and am looking for some advice. I obsess over new purchases, have to research the hell out of them ect ect.

My main GI right now is a vulkan A2 and it's awesome, light weight, durable, slim fit, stylish. All the things I want in a GI. I've had it about 3 years now and its like new minus a few blood stains that wont come out.

I'm just shy of 5'11 and weigh around 165. I like white GI's with contrast stitching and patchest (designer GI's is what I like to call em haha) The nicest looking GI I've come across is Moya Brand (Ivory Tech) (http://www.moyabrand.com/kimonos/ivory-tech-kimono).

My concerns are that if I get the A2 it will be too long in the arms and the skirt. Also, I've read that the pants are heavy and I spend most of my time working bottom open guard so not sure how that will affect my game.

This GI also caught my attention - Bull Terrier - Zebra GI (http://www.fightersmarket.com/Bull-Terrier-Limited-Edition-Zebra-BJJ-Gi-White-p/k335.htm)

    Thanks fellas.

Moya is a quality company. I have the original bluedial and it fits great, Im more of an athletic build, and it is tough. The standard cotton pants are a little more heavy then say, ripstop, but they are tough and not hard to maneuver in.

How tall are you and your weight compared to the size you have?

According to their chart for my normal size (a2) im at the very bottom as far as the weight (165-200lb) but the height is on point.

    Thanks for the input.

CTRL or Bull Terrier. I like the Bull Terrier Super Material the top is a pretty sturdy but light ripstop and the pants are ripstop. Either brand and anynof their gi's are awesome choices.

I'm at the top for an A1. 5' 8" 165. if you call the guy that runs the company will tell you everything you need to know about sizing. Super friendly dude and very helpful. Also gave me a 10% discount. I had a CTRL Rook 2 and absolutely hated it. The rip stop pants felt like sand paper and they shrank about three inches up my shin. I really like the cotton twill pants. Give Moya a call and that guy will set you straight.
