so this weekend im noving to my new shitty apartment across town. its on the 4th floor of an old mill and theres no elevator. also its hot and humid and depressing as fuck seeing my old home slowly empty out and the life im leaving behind. im looking for positives and the good news is that its a sick location right downtown, seeminlgy a few decently hot fmales int he building as well, and i can afford it which is nice. tell me your moving stories guys i need a good laugh.

I've spent the last 3 months entirely renovating a house about 140 square metres and this week we're moving in, half my shit is in the garage as the painting is still going on. I'm installing a few radiators finishing the bannister for the staircase and finishing the kitchen this week, whilst moving all our shit with a van.

It's all in hand, I got all the balls in the air but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't stressful.

Just prepping the kids for it has been a concern, for example, a fun concern but something that had to be thought about a little.

Moving from California to Texas, our truck was loaded up with our stuff and our kids, and I was following behind on my motorcycle. As we were getting out of Cali I watched a guy swerve to miss me on the bike and smashed into the back of my wife's truck (with my 8 month old daughter in it).

When we pulled over I was running down the freeway with my wife shouting "dont kill him!!!" hahahah.
Luckily my fam were ok.

I’ve had to move around Alaska 2-3 times for work. Talk about a pain in the ass....bush planes, no moving trucks and I have a few cats as well.

Moved from Cali to Hawaii last year out of a home I had for 16 years and had raised my kids in. Lots of great memories of being a dad there and it was emotionally very difficult. It was a great home for children, 3,000 square feet on an acre which backed up against a forrest. Coastal California is lovely. I had to purge lots of stuff from my kids childhood and that was very hard. What the move signified was the end of the hands on father days. My kids are a little older now and are building their own lives and suddenly I can do whatever I want. So, moved to Hawaii. I miss them terribly but they are doing great.

I'm looking for an apt right now. It's so fucking annoying. I don't want to talk to the chuckle fuck landlord.
