Twelve Monkeys (1995)

Synopsis: An unknown and lethal virus has wiped out five billion people in 1996. Only 1% of the population has survived by the year 2035, and is forced to live underground. A convict (James Cole) reluctantly volunteers to be sent back in time to 1996 to gather information about the origin of the epidemic (who he's told was spread by a mysterious "Army of the Twelve Monkeys") and locate the virus before it mutates so that scientists can study it. Unfortunately Cole is mistakenly sent to 1990, six years earlier than expected, and is arrested and locked up in a mental institution, where he meets Dr. Kathryn Railly, a psychiatrist, and Jeffrey Goines, the insane son of a famous scientist and virus expert.

Johnny Mnemonic (1995)

Synopsis: In 2021, the whole world is connected by the gigantic Internet, and almost a half of the population is suffering from the Nerve Attenuation Syndrome (NAS).Johnny with an inplanted memory chip in his brain was ordered to transport the over loaded information from Beijing to Newark. While Pharmakom Industries supported by yakuza tries to capture him to get the informaiton back, the Low-tech group led by J-Bone tries to break the missing code to download the cure of NAS which Johnny carries.

I prefer Johnny.

Things to remember:

- My Movie Battles are pitting up 2 movies that have the same feel, appeal to a similar audience, or share similar content. They won't always be completely alike in all areas.

-Polls close in 3 days.

- Choosing one doesn't mean the other sucks, so you better freakin choose!

This should be the biggest mismatch since the Predators/ Terminator fiasco.

Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt and Madeleine Stowe were all great in the marquee role of this movie. Johnny Mnemonic was a decent sci fi flick but not something you really care about watching multiple times. I can watch 12 Monkeys every time I see it on TV and never get tired of it.

Not even close, Monkey's all the way. Great movie. Makes you think as welll.

12 monkeys by dropping a virus in the matrix of cyberpunk world of Johnny

Hye BJJ_Ninja, how come on your avatar, you have Michelangelo's colors pair with Leonardo's weapons?

Wtf twelve monkeys no question such a dumb vs.

12 Monkeys is what happens when a retard tries to make an intelligent movie. It's like the old lizard picture in P&M. Everyone just pretends to get it so they don't look stupid.

Just like Donny Darko.

So what you're saying is you didn't understand 12 Monkeys.

And as other gentlemen have previously stated, it is not even close.
