John (The president) used to post here as icedog11. The link to the thread that caused his banning is below, but I'll try to sum it up. Tom from Protech offered a weekend deal (it was something like $30-40 off the regular price of a guard, w/ a limited color selection) without getting approval. Foz and Superbeast saw it and allowed it, then John jumped in the thread to offer his own special deal as well. Unfortunately, he escalated the situation, and it quickly got out of hand. His 2nd post in the thread he broke out the classic "I drive a better car" and then started to troll Foz on being Australian.
I try not to judge people on their "internet"-self too much, but John really buried himself, IMO. I can understand why he might have been offended or upset that Tom got away with giving Sherdog a special, but he immediately adopted the "me against the world" attitude and forgot he should have been trying to represent his company.
That was the first banning. Gladiator then had a sales rep on here who posted every once in a while, and whether it was actually the rep himself who eventually drove off the Sane Cliff, or John started posting under his name in that same thread, but that account was banned as well for once again trolling. I don't have a link for that thread though.
Here's the link to John's official banning form the boards:

It picks up around post 26. I also provide a brief history of other bans in post 74.
It's just my opinion, but that thread is when I decided to never personally support Gladiator guards. Let alone any company rep, but when the president of a company doesn't have the maturity to control himself on a MESSAGE BOARD featuring the consumer base he's actively trying to get... why on Earth would I want to give him my money? Bragging that he's richer, picking on someone for being Australian... Wow, he's cool. Not to mention that Tom in the past and Daren (or any Smartguards rep) post(ed) here more frequently with good information as well.
Gladiator is the only mouthguard company I've seen that has had bad relationships (at least publicly) with another company on either the UG or here. Granted, I haven't been on the boards nearly as long as others, so maybe someone else knows some more beef before my time. All the others not only seem to get along but have recommended other companies for the sake of customers' benefits.
