Sorry if this is a repost, but it's a quick insight into a guy I always thought was a great fighter, but know nothing about.

I really like that he thinks past fighting intelligently, and is honest about money and his personality. Better than the pre-fabricated "go out and give 110%" bs answers a lot of athletes give.

Good to read he's been clever about his money. More fighters should do stuff like that.

I pass by this guys ad every day on the way home from work and I always thought it resembled Mousasi. Now I know the truth.

    Best post ever...

Sorry for the lack of linkage, thought I put it in. That's the one though.

Actually, the Chael Sonnen interview at the bottom of the page is super interesting too.

"Upkicks are what I miss most about Asian MMA because it's so easy when you're on the ground to pull your leg back and kick somebody right in there face "

lol I can picture mousasi saying this subtly......

I love gegard a lot more, but I think jacare beats him in the rematch.

    Dat upkick ain't happening again.

Well, Hitler is a pretty mysterious historical figure. Maybe he wants to sit down with him to get his hands on him? No idea.

I like Mousasi's approach to the game overall. He's a very calculating fighter. I do not like the fact that he goes up to 205, though, and hope he doesn't while in the UFC, so he can focus on MW contention. I hope he doesn't have to fight Jacare again, because I don't want to see either lose.

It's not really that weird if you take it beyond face value - "I've always been interested in World War II, so maybe it would be Hitler, so I could find out what was going through his crazy brain and maybe to punch him the face a few times [laughs]. Why would someone ever do those things he did? He was a monster and I would like to know what made him like that."

Mousasi only ever fought at 205 because he thought he put on too much weight to make 185 again. He can fight at either weight but just about all of his best wins (Munoz, Kang via triangle, Jacare, Lombard) have come at MW.

Definitely comes off as a smart dude. Wise to invest his cash, unlike the majority of mixed martial artists.

Second, it can't be Mousasi, because he's smiling.
