Sorry guys I know this has been posted 1,000,000 times but i dont know how 2 use the search engine, cant even find it. So could you guys give me soom good mount defences? Thanks guys.

for mma, bjj, or what i mean are you trying to defend from strikes, subs, both ... for either situation the best thing to do is to get out of that position as fast as possible the one i use most is overhook either leg and bridge up hard as you roll the guy over (escapes are something you need to practice a lot to get good at though someone telling you how to do it on a forum won't do much good)

Damn bob that is a big av.

Click the search button at the top of the right hand of the screen. You can do a general search or you can do a more specific search.

And ya I know I take CSW 3 times a week and my brother does it with me so I got alot of time to practice. Just trying to find some good ones. Probly gonna buy Bas Big DVD collection.

Ringmaster:

There are about 8 mount escapes, and even a submission you might pull off from the bottom of the mount. It is tough to describe them here, in black and white. It is good you have someone to train with. You will pick up a couple of escape techniques from DVDs, but I have found most aren't shown, or shown in detail. I picked up my list of 8 escapes, after training with several differnt BJJ instructors, and Catchwrestling. So shop around, or locate some brown/blackbelt instructors and hire them for an hour and ask them to teach you all the escapes they know (I'd prefer no-gi).

Where are you located? If you are ever in the San Diego neighborhood, or want to visit, get in touch. I have mats at my place and teach guys here a couple of times a week. It doesn't cost anything, and I can show you the stuff. Just drop me an email.

Good luck.

yeah bob that is a huge avatar, I dont get the point of what
its trying to really say.

mount escapes... I give them my back, and then I roll back into
under the mount and hopefully get half guard.

bjj.org has a few for bjj. With a little creativity you can use them in MMA.
