Pretty awful but the story implies that the boy died because the boyfriend kicked him in the stomach. And why did he kick him? The boy wanted to take his shoes off before watching t.v. which the boyfriend had ordered him to do.

Yes, but even psychopaths have triggers, such as prejudices, that are sometimes founded in everyday society. Limit those prejudices and maybe reduce those triggers.

An interesting notion, but I doubt that it matters. If one trigger is taken away, then I suspect something else becomes the trigger. You're addressing the symptom, not the disease underlying it.
