Nick Diaz's Stockton slap: This is just disrespectful but not always thrown out of frustration. He used it against Robbie Lawler just for the golly heck of it. You wouldnt ko anyone with it but it probably for sure would provoke a reaction out of another hot headed fighter. Mark Hunt's various made up moves : This guy uses all sorts of weird stuff he thinks of on the fly. Besides the atomic butt drop,he tried a double flying kneedrop (!) on Nisjhijima which would have surely made him street pizza had he not gotten out of the way. Also will try spinning back leg kicks just for the hell of it,which is really impressive for a big man. Most of the Hunt's stuff doesnt hit as intended, precisely because he just made it up,but if he had landed these moves as he wanted to,they would probably result in a ko,so its pretty dangerous. Fedor's reality distorting ground and pound: To this day i dont recall seeing someone use the full potential of force when it comes to ground and pound punches as Fedor does here. It's no wonder he kept breaking his fist....and the bones in his opponents faces. Anthony Pettis,Lyoto Machida, and Anderson silva also employ the most effective and creative use of kicks we've seen.
sakuraba was the anti-jiujitsu master back in the days. Not only because you didnt know what to expect, but he didnt respect their styles,he was just having a laugh in there.

Ebersole and that round-off kick he did, and Genki Sudo, with his wicked robot moves. Those are the most unorthodox moves I've seen that are still actually effective. Jones gets an honourable mention. I still can't stand the guy, but he's certainly far from conventional.
That is an incredible list. I'm glad neither of my two mentions were on it though. Wow, it brings back memories reading this...thanks!
i kind of like fighters who taunt to get reactions. Its really hard to ignore Nick diaz's antics. also back in wanderlei's heydey you know he would get in your grill in the face off,and when he was really feared that was something you had to deal with.
The Showtime kick is the only time I've seen it attempted and pulled off, I thought it'd be attempted more such as when other unique moves are proven effective.
ebersole actually stopped someone with that roll kick once. sheesh. you gotta kinda feel goofy for losing to that move.
Many man hours of intense research labor was put into that reply. ...brave men sacrificed their all to come up with that list.
Oh, also not UFC, but there is that capoeira guy, I think Marcus Aurelio - look him up, some of his KO's have been the sort of stuff I practiced in TKD as a teenager that nobody would ever really pull off. Insane kicks.
