Most Situps?

Doing over a hundred at a time is a waste. I use to do them in sets of 100+ and didn't find any real benefit in that. I started using a 25lbs plate behind my head then went up to 45 pound plate. Those were much harder and beneficial. I came to think of it like weightlifting. If you can bench press 100 pounds for 200 reps, isn't it time to add some weight?

Over 600 situps is good but a hernia is not..lol.

Yesterday I did 30 sit ups with 80kg on my chest.

The world record for situps in 1 minute is 196
Im going to try and beat that.
Will post on this thread every week my best time for 200 situps
Currently 6 mins 24 seconds

210 at most non-stop ...cant do shit now...all those years of boozin has finally caught up to the ol' Fella!

Way to resurrect a thread nobody's posted in for almost two years guys...

I must question the validity of doing a legit 600+ sit-ups in one set.

We had 300lb kids doing the 100 or however many were needed for the A, with ease. The up/downs are amazingly slow, and drawn out.

I'm sure 600 was extremely tough, but I don't think everyone understands how slow they are done.

EDIT : Nm, tricked by time and dumb posters.

If your teacher has any sense, he'll target goals for you that focus on (relatively) weak points.

Just did 200 in 3:07
Only 2 mins 7 secs to shave off for the world record lol
