Most Painful Submission ?

The most painful submission I've ever experienced to date came courtesy of Egor Radzik (owner of Redstar) at a seminar he did here in the summer.

I'm at work so don't have the picture to post, but there is a picture of Egor demonstrating the submission on me as Redstar's cover photo at https://twitter.com/redstarbjj

He called it the "Russian Hug". It was like a hip dislocator, spine lock, neck crank... Just bad.. bad bad bad.

Yeah, I know it as a Carnie Hold / Stretch. It's been around for a long time. First saw Erik Paulson do it in the 90's, but seen it out of other catch guys too.

Dokonjonosuke Mishima shows a variant of it he calls the Cobra Hold, after showing an Inside Toe Hold.

LOL I've seen that on his facebook page and always thought it was his own leg, wow that looks painful!

The most unpleasant submission for me is the bow & arrow choke. The most painful are usually kimuras, because they tend to come at the end of a long roll, with an opponent that has become frustrated by my survival game...so they sometimes wind up being a bit, uh, enthusiastic.

Him Bob, I think will the material of the tape and gloves makes it really hard to bend the wrist enough to compress. I can only think of one wrist lock ever
