Suppose you're the UFC and the main rationale for canning a MMA journalist for getting the scoop isn't because of Brock but rather, the fighter TBA? Imagine if they're trying to bring Fedor over from M-1 as another one off to help cover their losses with the Connor fight being pushed back. They don't want to ban him, just threaten him to keep any possible Fedor rumors from getting out.
Dana and Co. get Ariel back after UFC 200 before selling the company to some eclectic billionaire. 200 seems as good a number to end on as any.

Pretty sure the UFC are just babies about Ariel being a good reporter. I hope he just tries even harder to spoil their plans because it seems like he's just getting started.
