I'm talking about a performance that has stayed in the popular consciousness for longer than any other with the smallest amount of screentime and/or significance within the story. Kinda like how P4P lists favor the smaller fighters.

This was 31 years ago.

Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross? First one that came to mind

Idk if that is what you're referring to, but this dude has had bit parts in a bunch of movies and is always one of the most memorable characters in every film he's in. The roles are stupid, but they're usually hilarious.

I just realized another one

He's just Walken away with it.

34 years later and it still hits you right in the feels.

Wilson in Castaway. Didn’t say one word and had people crying when he left.

think about how much time the kid Malfoy spends on camera in the Potter films, compared to his father.....

who draws the more illicit response? I'd argue easily the father, and it has nothing to do w/ the script or anything but merely Jason Isaacs acting ability.

also considering he was acting alongside prime molester Spacey and Samuel L, i always thought Giamatti was absolutely tremendous in the Negotiator (i mean per usual, but that's the first i really became aware of his ability)

Giovanni Ribisi as Medic Wade in Saving Private Ryan

This scene right here has stuck with me. "Oh my God, my liver!"

This is a question...?

latest

OT Fett of course

No other character has penetrated pop culture more except for Star Wars characters, but they are a whole different beast. Honorable mentions to Don Corleone and Mr. Miyagi.

Edit: shit I should've read through the actual OP as my reply was way off. If you're talking bit parts, Slimer from Ghostbusters is up there.
