Cejudo: Demetrious Johnson, TJ Dillashaw, Marlon Moraes

Shogun: Rampage, Overeem, Lil Nog

GSP: Fitch, Penn, Alves

For me it has to be Cejudo. He beat the GOAT candidate who had many title defenses. He destroyed an aboslute killer in TJ and Marlon is very good win as well.

Not only did Cejudo beat TJ, but he also beat him while TJ was roided up. Which makes that particular win even more impressive.

It's hard not to go with Cejudo here.

Way way too early to tell, you have to let "history" become history first... I mean GSPs wins were great but is anyone in 2019 seriously in awe of the idea of someone beating Fitch, Penn and/or Alves? "In history" changes a lot. TJ and Moraes might go on to lose 4 in a row and the wins might look a lot less impressive in retrospect

Cejudos looks most impressive but then those guys he beat are still currently hot ticket items and none of the other guys mentioned are, it's not a fair comparison so soon

It's got to be up there for sure

Beating MM.. someone whom ruled the flyweight division for a long time along with many title defenses.. well its 1 and 1 each but he did beat him

Beating a surging BW goat too, is very impressive.. plus hes on PEDs

And beating Marlon.. needless to say, its impressive.. more impressive when he TKO'd him

All these while being flyweight champ and capturing the BW strap..

And do u know that he is a gold Olympics medalist?

Great thread

I'm not sure this 3-piece is more significant than what Henry has done, but I shall contribute anyhow:

Fedor: destroyed Nog in their third fight, then avenged the loss to TK by utter domination, and followed that with one of the GFOAT with Mirko.

Respectfully submitted,

Yea I thought about this too but Kosaka ruined that streak for me. I would compare him to Dennis Siver in between Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo.

Neither Henry or Shogun ever got finished in their prime by a fighter that could have fought 1-2 weight classes lower. Henry all the way

Obviously not the best run ever, but I still think about TJ Grant's path of destruction towards the title before he was injured and forced to retire.

Grant: beat up Dunham, crushed Wiman, and absolutely ran through Maynard.

lol beating guys from devisions with a tiny talenpool. very impressive. TJ was so dehydrated, he went down being pushed. Not to impressed.

Win is win man. Circumstances do not really count here.

Agreed. The fact that it avenged the previous fight lends it more importance, but not enough to qualify as the greatest three fight run.

People say Henry beat DJ in the rematch?? I thought that was a clear win for DJ and expected an immediate rematch.

Alright, this is another one that needs to be discussed:

Spider Silva: Marquardt, Franklin II, and Hendo or Sonnen I, Belfort, Okami II?

Jon Jones: shogun, rampage then Machida all by finishes has to be up there. Even more so when you consider he was only a few year into MMA

Rampage was bit past his prime and Machida era was over by then. But a good one yes, could be better than GSP's three fight run.

Or look the other side of it and have Bader (who has a really impressive resume now), shogun, Rampage.

Lots qualify ...

B.J. Penn: Gomi, Matt Hughes, Ludwig

yeah, it was so sad we didn't get to see his potential greatness
