Which fighters had impressive runs before retiring or resurrected their careers when everything seemed to be over for them ?

Also, could we expect one of the oldies right now to have one last glory run and finish their career at high level and leave us wishing they were 10 years younger ?

Lawler for sure, before the KO of course

Post reserved for Ronda in a few days :p

Dos Anjos was considered a journey man until that great streak and becoming a champion.

Overeem and Hunt both had a nice comeback after losing several in a row.

Mark Hunt going from having zuffa tell him they will pay him to not fight to fighting for the UFC Interim heavy weight belt.

Good one, RDA was under the radar til he took Pettis' soul.

If only Hunt KO'd Lesnar...

Dana and the UFC would be mad as fuck at him

Good choice. Before he dropped down to WW he was in his mid 30s and was contemplating retirement.

He decided to drop down to WW a few years ago and since then he has beaten 6 fighters currently ranked in the top 15, 5 of which he won via finish (thats fucking crazy for any fighter, let alone a figher who is almost 40 ).

RDA is a good choice as well. He was looking like was going to have a gatekeeper/journeyman type career then he goes on a fucking 10-1 streak which included literally demolishing 4 of the toughest guys ever to compete in mma (Diaz, Cerrone, Pettis, and Henderson).

Dominick Cruz, ACL injuries are a death sign for any athlete yet he came back roughly close to 4 years out of competition and regained the title he never lost and is set to fight for the third time this year. He proved that the sport did not pass him by and that he still has a lot left in the tank

Arlovskis had many resurgences. It's tough to pinpoint when his prime really was. Most impressive is Lawler, could make a movie about his career.

ima vote nate diaz

He went from losing his title shot, and dropping his fight against Thompson, to gettin shit all over by dana and the media. "nate dosnt move the needle". Nate had said he wanted more money(was fighting for 15 and 15). So dana gos to the media and says "he wants more money, but he dosnt want to fight for it". so then media and fans start bashing nate hardcore. some how they couldnt put together nate had over 14 ufc fights and was getting 15 and fuckin 15. this was one weird time were everyone took danas word for it and just bashed nate.

Nate took a bunch of time off because he was upset about his pay. So upon nates unmotivated return he got smoked by RDA and missed weight for his first and only time. Luckily for nate him and nick got together and started retraining how they used to. Nick said "i would tell him we are going for a couple mile run today. its not an option this is what we HAVE to do'. i think nate had lost his passion from the treatment and was phoning it in during training and nick seen it. Needless to say Nate came back strong as fuck because he had to prove a point. After he beat Michael Johnson everybody realized what was happening and the nate love came back strong. Its what got him the fight vs conor.

and after nate won it was a great time during the post fight press conference. Dana Literally said "listen Nates always moved the needle"

war nate and fuck the rejects who were saying he has to fight more for the pay, even though he has some of the most time in out of the entire roster

Anderson Silva
He was 3-2 before coming to the UFC

You know the rest
