What are the most impressive and unimpressive looking strikes? Note, this is purely referring to how they look, and has nothing to do with how effective or not they are.

In my opinion,

Most impressive: superman punch, or spinning backfist, if it lands. Can't decide between the two.

Most unimpressive: hammer fist; it looks sort of like something you'd see in a fight between two bratty little 3 year olds throwing a fit.

Anthony Petis's ninja kicking Ben Henderson off the cage was pretty damn impressive.

Badr Hari's spinning heel kick KO of Stephen Leko

Roy Jones Jr's KO reel is also about as impressive as it gets.

Watching Juan Manuel Marquez Counter punching and combination punching is also about as impressive a thing as I have ever seen.

Most Unimpressive - a couple of the "critique my technique" threads posted on Sherdog.........

anything flying or spinning looks impressive when it lands
agree with you on the hammer fists, they look very non technical sometimes eg brock on randy

Most impressive: seeing the 3 year old child of the family that runs the muay thai section of our mma school executing fluid feinted leg kick into superman punch combos.

Most unimpressive: the haymaker.

Overhand right counter, left hook (counter). Combos in general

Not the most impressive or hard technique, but... Teep kick to the face tend to fuck opponent's morals up badly, especially in MMA.

It seems like everyone overlook teep kick and assume they'd never eat a teep kick. So when it hit them, it make them really question their own ability and speed.

As for most impressive, ax kick if landed! That kick is hella hard to land.

Most unimpressive, anything that involve spinning and missing every time. I have seen a match where a guy would try so hard to throw a spinning back heel but miss and get countered badly. He keep doing this and somehow didn't got knocked out! STUPIDEST guy I ever saw! If I was his coach, I'd have kick him off the fighting team.
